The dataset describes large-scale applications of insecticides to forests from 1968 to 2017 in the provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) and Nova Scotia (NS),Canada. The data was assembled to provide a historic record of forested land management practices to control insect populations. Future research into the long-term environmental impacts will inform the future decision-making process.
