Observations were carried out over 14 consecutive years, from 2006 to 2019, on 772 trees distributed in plots along two altitudinal gradients located on Mount Ventoux, France. The dataset and associated metadata are accessible at: https://doi.org/10.15454/TRFMZN. This database can be used to develop phenological models and understand the physiological drivers of phenology. This dataset was created to explore the phenological response to climate of two forest species at the rear margin of their range. It also allows the assessment of environmental determinants involved in bud development, leafing and senescence.
